Taren Point Bowling & Recreation Club Seeking the services of a full time Head Greenkeeper This is the first time the role of Head Greenkeeper has been opened in 28 years with the incumbent taking over a premium product with quality greens and surrounds any Bowling Club in Australia would be proud of. To be considered for this role you will: • Have completed your Certificate lll in Turf Management or equivalent • Have an excellent understanding of turf maintenance practices • Be available to work weekends when necessary • Have good communication skills including monthly reports to management • A full understanding of WHS roles and responsibilities • Be willing to undertake further training to enhance yourself and the club operation • Show skills and knowledge in the operation and maintenance of a wide range of horticultural plant equipment and machinery • Be able to work with a budget The role will involve but not limited to: • The maintenance and yearly renovation of Three and a half grass bowling green’s • The preparation of the Three and a half grass bowling green’s for play • Supervision and training of up to two apprentices • Working closely with the Bowls Coordinator for scheduled events • Ordering, storage and use of chemicals and fertilizers. • All garden maintenance that may be required in or around the main club building This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to show case their horticultural skills in an environment where you will be shown a great deal of autonomy from the Board and Management.
