Target-news - අපි වෙනුවෙන් අපි නුවරඑළිය දිස්ත්‍රික් නිවාස ව්‍යාපෘතිය ජනපති අතින් රණවිරු අයිතියට War veterans in Nuwara Eliya gets houses අපි වෙනුවෙන් අපි නිවාස ව්‍යාපෘතිය යටතේ ඉදිකළ නුවරඑළිය දිස්ත්‍රික් රණවිරු නිවාස රණවිරුවන්ගේ අයිතියට පවරාදීම (18දා) පෙරවරුවේ ජනාධිපති මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතාගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් සිදු විය. එම අවස්ථාවේදී නිවාස ව්‍යාපෘතිය රණවිරු අයිතියට පැවරීම සංකේතවත් කරමින් ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගුවන් හමුදාවේ සැරයන් එච්. එම්. යූ. කේ. හේරත් රණවිරුවාගේ රිකිල්ලගස්කඩ, ‍පොරමඬුල්ල බංගලාවත්ත නිවසේ යතුර ජනාධිපති මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතා විසින් භාර දුන් අයුරු. Over 102 war veterans in the Nuwara Eliya district who risked their lives to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Motherland received houses under the Api Wenuwen Api housing program already implemented in over 15 districts in the country under the direction of Defence and Urban Development Ministry Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa. Fifty seven service personnel from the Sri Lanka Army, 27 personnel from the Sri Lanka Navy and 18 members from the Sri Lanka Air Force received keys for the houses from President Mahinda Rajapaksa at a ceremony at Poramadulla Central College, Rikillagaskada. The program is funded by the Api Wenuwen Api Fund. Many Sri Lankans here and abroad contribute to this fund. President Rajapaksa opened three houses, ceremonially lighting the oil lamps. The other recipients received keys to the houses from the President at the official handing over ceremony at Poramadulla Central College. The children of these war veterans received school bags and stationery. Furniture and kitchen utensils have also been provided to these houses under this program. This project implemented in coordination with the Tri Forces and the Ranaviru Seva Authority is supervised by Defence Ministry Seva Vanitha Unit Chairperson Iyoma Rajapaksa. Schoolchildren of Rahathgoda Primary school received school bags with stationary from the President. Central Province Governor Tikiri Kobbekaduwa and Secretary to the President Lalith Weeratunga addressed the gathering. Chief Government Whip and Irrigation and Water Resources Management Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva, Private Transport Minister C.B. Ratnayake, Defence and Urban Development Ministry Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, Central Province former Chief Minister Sarath Ekanayake, Chief of Defence of Staff General Jagath Jayasuriya and Tri Forces Commanders were also present.
