Vini Lopez, Pat Guadagno, Bobby Bandiera & the Jersey Shore All-Stars, After the Reign, The Benjamins, and Big Joe Henry! Celebrate Summer in New Jersey. The mere words conjure up images of sun, fun, classic boardwalk food, and raucous live music. On Saturday, August 3rd, the Taste of the Jersey Shore festival will celebrate these iconic delights with an unforgettable afternoon concert lineup at the PNC Bank Arts Center. The free event is presented by the Foundation to Save the Jersey Shore. https://facebook/events/533030973417772/ Scheduled to appear are popular shore bands The Benjamins and After the Reign, as well as a group made up of All-Star musicians, including Bobby Bandiera, Vini Lopez and Pat Guadagno. After the Reign will be performing the song Jersey Strong, which has become an anthem for the region’s recovery. “So many of these great food and music celebrations had to be cancelled this summer because of the storm damage,” explains Warren Diamond, a co-founder of Save the Jersey Shore. “We realized that part of undoing what Sandy did means keeping these traditions alive.” The fun actually starts at 10:00 a.m., when Big Joe Henry begins the live remote broadcast of his popular weekend Rock n Roll radio show on NJ101.5 FM. Admission to Taste of the Jersey Shore is free. Parking is free, too. “But don’t leave your wallets at home,” warns Henry. “We’re bringing in some classic Jersey Shore food and beverage vendors, and there will be some amazing merchandise available for sale. And when you see what Save the Jersey Shore is all about, I think you’ll want to throw a couple of dollars their way, too.” Taste of the Jersey Shore will run from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with food, contests and prizes, and live music scheduled to begin at 3:00. The festival is located in front of the PNC Bank Arts Center and will feature its owns performance stage. Immediately following the festival, inside the PNC gates, is The Concert to Save the Jersey Shore, headlined by O.A.R. with Allen Stone and Andrew McMahon.
