Tattoos and Piercings Tattoos and Piercings (Piercings were a mark of a slave) are forbidden in the Bible. They can carry familiar evil spirits and give them a doorpoint in your life. Piercings are a sign of slavery. Even if Tattoos are well meaning or are a cross or some sort of religious significance God forbids it, as it is also a sign of another master in your life. God show us this to protect us from opening doors for the enemy to attack us through... Often believers will see this and say no way we are not under the law... As you work with God in your relationship, he changes you on the inside and obedience manifests out of that relationship and this is grace and mercy.... Grace is not simple irresponsible do whatever and you have your fire insurance. Also obedience by following a list of Christian rules is as the Pharisees and Galatians tried to do... Pharrisees tried to do it without Christ and tried to even make up extra rules... Jesus was always purposefully breaking their rules by healing people deliberately breaking all their rules he could in a setting. The Galatians had believed and received Christ and they decided it wasnt enough so they added back the law... Both were chastised. The Pharisees were (and I am paraphrasing) called white washed tombs (sepulchers). The Galatians had Paul spank them in saying oh foolish Galatians who hath bewitched you... So when you read these scriptures, 1st be humble and teachable ready to hear Gods conviction. 2nd know he tells us these things even in the Old Testament to protect us from making doorpoints for the enemy to attack you through. Third be quick to repent and do some self deliverance if needed, and work with God to walk out of the sin and allow the Holy Spirit to wash you with the water of the Word.. Blessings... Leviticus 19:28 - Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I [am] the LORD. 1 Corinthians 67:19-20 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are Gods. Piercings are a sign of slavery Exodus 21:6 - Then his master shall bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an aul; and he shall serve him for ever. Deuteronomy 15:17 - Then thou shalt take an aul, and thrust [it] through his ear unto the door, and he shall be thy servant for ever. And also unto thy maidservant thou shalt do likewise.
