Taylor Sparks hit his second home run in the top of the first inning of last nights ballgame, scoring Cory Thompson and helping to chase starter Austin Fairchild in the first while staking the Mustangs to an early 2-0 lead. Unfortunately, the lead was short lived. The Chukars scored four runs in the bottom of the first, four more in the fourth and did not look back. Torey Deshazier came on in the fourth and provided the Chukars with five innings of two-hit, scoreless relief (with 7 Ks), beating the Mustangs 14-3. Billings will look for its first win tonight against Idaho Falls in seven chances this year, as the teams wrap up the three-game series. RHP Wyatt Strahan (0-3, 4.50 ERA) goes in his sixth start tonight, to be followed by LHP Seth Varner. RHP Bryan Brickhouse (0-2, 7.50) will take the bump for Idaho Falls. The Coach USA Pregame shows starts at 6:55 pm MDT, with first pitch scheduled for 7:15 on ESPN 910 KBLG and billingsmustangs.
