Taylor Swift “Out of the Woods” ow.ly/CIQub (Single Premiere) ow.ly/CIQz7 Following the huge success achieved with her awaited comeback single “Shake It Off“, American country (now converted into a pop star) singer Taylor Swift goes ahead with the promotion of her upcoming and highly-awaited fifth studio album “1989“, scheduled to be released on October 27, 2014 via Big Machine Records. The second promotional single is confirmed the song “Out of the Woods“, written by Swift with the collaboration of Jack Antonoff, and it’s about her relantionship with Harry Styles. Taylor mentioned in an interview with Rolling Stone that this is her favourite song from the album. She said: Of all the songs on the album that seem to be about Styles, the most intriguing one is “Out of the Woods”. Every day was a struggle. Forget making plans for life – we were just trying to make it to next week. The most interesting part comes when Swift sings, “Remember when you hit the brakes too soon / Twenty stitches in a hospital room” She says it was inspired by a snowmobile ride with an ex who lost control and wrecked it so badly that she saw her life flash before her eyes. Both of them had to go to the ER, although Swift wasn’t hurt. She corrects herself: “Not as hurt” “Out of the Woods” was released alongside the pre-order of the album on iTunes on October 14th. The single is undoubtedly one of the best pop deliveries we have heard this year. Showing its indie-alternative side, heavily influenced by her best friend Lorde, the singer proves she can and wants to be also one of the great pop divas. Forget about country music. Taylor strikes again with some extremely catchy and extremely well done pop masterpiece.
