Taylor Swift “Shake It Off” ow.ly/Cuaty (Le Grand Journal Performance) The return of Taylor Swift to the music spotlight is here. The country pop star began writing songs for her fifth studio album since 2012. From the first moment she made it clear that she wanted to work with the same collaborators of her last and successfull studio album ‘Red‘, launched in 2012. Said and done. Swift worked in the studio with Max Martin and Johan Shellback, responsible for hits like ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together‘ or ‘I Knew You Were Trouble.‘. She has also worked again with Diane Waren and Ryan Tedder. In November 2013, Swift told Billboard: There are probably seven or eight songs that I know I want on the record. It’s already evolved into a new sound, and that’s all I wanted During Valentine’s Day, She returned to being locked in the studio with Martin and Shellback shaping that possibly one of the great hits of this new project. During her Yahoo! Live Stream in New York City, Taylor confirmed new single “Shake It Off“. It was produced by Shellback and Max Martin. She also premiered the official music video directed by Mark Romanek of the single during the live stream and it was posted on VEVO right after. The single is the first taste of her upcoming and first ever POP album called “1989“, scheduled to be released on October 27th. Taylor plans to debut some new music in the 2014 edition of iHeartRadio Festival, which is held as every year in September. “Shake It Off” is a radio winner. It’s a basic pop song. Basic but effectively effective. In this era, she leaves her country side and launched to conquer the pop market with an easy, repetitive and highly catchy production. Pretty empty of meaning but cool and fun, it’s the perfect song that any Epic Records executive wanted to relaunch the career of Avril Lavigne. That is in essence what good pop music does. Fully ephemeral lead single, but do not forget is definitely an instant hit. Swift performed the smash new single on Le Grand Journal (Canal+) on October 8th.
