This relationship was on full display at the American Music Awards on Sunday night, as Selena performed her new track (The Heart Wants What It Wants), breaking down on stage over Justin Bieber. Toward the end of the rendition, cameras panned to a clearly emotional Swift in the crowed, showing support for her good pal. Not long after the ceremony, Swift and Gomez were joined by a bunch of friends (including Lorde) for a fun gathering at which the above photo was snapped. “Not a better way to end my night. Surrounded by SO much love,” wrote Gomez in regard to the image. Swift and Gomez have reportedly clashed over the years due to the latters up and down relationship with Bieber (who can ever forget Swift sticking out her tongue upon seeing them kiss?), but they remain very close. Selena was one of many stars to positively gush over Swifts new album last month, while Gomez also told Ellen DeGeneres in a recent interview that Taylor is constantly telling her to move to New York City.
