Taylor Swift is top of the US Singles and Albums charts today! What a great christmas present for Taylor Swift. Her smash hit Blank Space is no.1 in the US today and 1989 is at the top of the Album charts. Blank Space has enjoyed considerable success since it was released in late November, and has topped the Billboard Hot 100 charts for a sixth week. Taylors summer hit Shake It Off has been nominated for Song Of The Year at the Grammys. And as the year comes to a close, Taylors fifth studio album 1989 which was released on October 27, continues to excel with USA Today naming it Album Of The Year. The publication also named Taylor as 2014s Musician Of The Year. Taylors album has been compared to Bruce Springsteens Tunnel Of Love in its musical style and sold 1.287 million copies in its first week of release. Taylor, who just turned 25, spent Christmas Eve at a showing of Hugh Jackmans Broadway play The River in New York City.
