Taylors( and family)afternoon update! Mom has excellent care providers that are controlling her pain with medication. The biggest issue is still not being able to tolerate the tube feeding. Well the new tube feed formula, that is a lower concentration than before, has been running at 10mL/hour for 6 hours now & was just increased to 20mL/hour. She said it is still feeling like it is coming up into her throat. They are going to continue to gradually increase the rate of the formula going into the feeding tube to get it to the specially designed goal rate of tube feed formula for her to meet her nutritional needs. Her IV went bad this afternoon. They had trouble starting a new one, so have to have a midline put in, which is a IV that is that is slightly larger and can be used to run fluids/medications and draw labs from. It can left in for less than 30 days and the dressing over the IV will just need to be changed every few days. The biggest perk of this midline is that mom wont need to be poked at constantly because she is a hard stick Lol 😜 Thank you everyone for all prayers and words of encouragement!! 😘❤️
