Corsi, Ph.D.) – In the past week, President Barack Obama joined Rev. Jessie Jackson and Rev. Al Sharpton in making comments about Trayvon Martin that prompted protest rallies in some 100 U.S. cities over the weekend. Instead of saying he supports the verdict of the jury, President Obama has made what appears to be a politically motivated statement aimed at whipping up the racial antagonisms of his Democratic Party base. The White House also knows a compliant mainstream media will give his racial comments front page attention, wiping off the headlines politically embarrassing stories including the expanding IRS investigation in Congress proving an IRS legal counsel appointed by Obama was responsible for delaying and denying Tea Party requests for tax-exempt status. By saying Trayvon Martin could have been him some decades earlier, Obama has personalized what is rapidly developing into a Democratic Party manipulated crisis aimed at advancing a radical liberal agenda that depends on intensifying racial and class conflicts. In writing my current book What Went Wrong: The Inside Story of the GOP Debacle of 2012 … And How It Can Be Avoided Next Time, I pointed out Obama’s electoral victories in 2008 and 2012 depended upon a form of interest group politics played by Franklin Roosevelt in assembling a New Deal coalition of those who felt disadvantaged by the free enterprise system. President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder both know George Zimmerman would be exonerated once again if the Obama administration were to seek his prosecution under civil rights laws, simply because the FBI could be forced to testify, revealing the FBI found Zimmerman was not motivated by racial antipathy. By beating a demagogue’s drum to whip up sympathetic feelings portraying Trayvon Martin, Obama is following a Saul Alinsky playbook that calls for rubbing raw racial and economic conflicts in order to stimulate the community anger ultimately needed to generate a socialist revolution. What African-Americans must realize in voting in 2012 some 96 percent for Obama in the presidential election is that Obama has done virtually nothing to improve the economic condition of African-Americans. African-American unemployment is at 13.5 percent, double the rate for all Americans, while youth unemployment among African-Americans is hitting an alarming 42 percent when we include those who want jobs and are willing to take part-time or temporary work, as well as those who have quit looking for a job because they believe no jobs are available for them. The truly shocking fact to emerge from the Trayvon Martin case are those revealed by the Bureau of Justice Statistics proving 93 percent of approximately 9,000 African-Americans are murdered in the United States each year are in fact perpetrated by other African-Americans. To put these numbers in perspective, realize that over the course of a decade-long war in Iraq and Afghanistan some 6,400 U.S. service men and women have been killed. Detroit, now facing bankruptcy, has a population that is nearly 82 percent African-American. Yet, President Obama who rushed to bail out Detroit-based auto manufacturers has given no indication the Obama administration is ready to bail out Detroit. Detroit is the result of decades of Democratic Party domestic policies stretching back to FDR’s New Deal and LBJ’s “Great Society” in which the socialist lie should now be fully exposed: White guilt and spending trillions in social welfare programs do not eradicate urban racial poverty – a problem that will only be resolved when African Americans abandon Democratic welfare to embrace once again the conservative values of religion, the need to maintain families to educate children, and the importance of jobs to economic advancement. Instead, what Obama and other Democratic Party leaders such as Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton seek to pursue by race baiting is to advance a leftist agenda seeking for special treatment under the law for African Americans, even more social welfare spending, and gun control laws. When Eric Holder refuses to release to George Zimmerman his weapon, even though Zimmerman was found “not guilty” in the murder of Trayvon Martin, the damage is done to all Tea Party patriots who believe the Second Amendment must remain sacrosanct, just as we believe the administration of justice must not be tipped to serve the racial and political motives of the radical left.
