Teachers are special people who impart knowledge....but I rather consider all those people as teachers who have inspired me and taught me things in life other than bookish knowledge per se.... First and foremost....My Mother Prof Sukla Basu....who has taught me virtually everything I know today...she even teaches me how to treat sometimes!!!!.. Father Joseph Manipadam..who taught me discipline in life... My Father....who taught that knowledge was everything in life....perhaps I learnt to handle the camera from him at the age of 6... My brother Dr.Sayan Basu.....who taught me that brilliance was in the genes...you need not mug everything to succeed.... My wife Dr Keya Basu...who taught me that you can be brilliant and successful only through hardwork even if you come from humble backgrounds... My friend Arunangsu De...who first taught me how to study and compete with world beaters like my other batchmates...remember I was the second last boy to enter Calcutta medical college in the merit list... My friend Sujay Ray....who taught me that desi boi poreo sucessful hoya jay....its only the knowledge that matters in the end... Prof Apurba Ghosh...who taught me pediatrics and still does... My friend Drsusrut Das....who taught me how to survive without my family for the first time and still be happy.... My friend Ayon Sengupta....who taught me how to pass the greatest obstacle in my life...DNB practicals... My friends...Dr Soumitro Bhattacharya, Dr Deep Das....who guided me through my professional life.... My thanks to numerous friends,batchmates,wellwishers who taught me all the way... My special thanks to all those who envy me...despise me...bite me behind my back...for teaching me what not to do in my life.... My son Sarthak basu....who tells me often Baba tumi kicchu jano na and educates me about Avengers, Doremon,Nobita,timetravel,planets.....but he always teaches me that there is so much still to learn.... eagerly waiting for numerous teachers who I am yet to meet...who will teach me new things in life....
