Teachers cannot work around everyone’s personal schedule. This should be obvious, but it still comes up a lot. If your dancer is committing to a performance company or competition team, there will be a SUBSTANTIAL time commitment. Your teacher should do their best to get schedules out in a timely manner and keep the schedule reasonable and consistent; but they simply cannot work around multiple dancer’s needs. Please do not ask to be an exception to the schedule unless it is truly an exceptional case. Otherwise, save headaches by asking about scheduling conflicts well in advance. That way you have a better chance of your teacher being able to work around it.
