Teachers’ Day celebration by the Primary Wing @ MRIS, Charmwood Teachers’ day was celebrated with lot of enthusiasm and joy by children and teachers of the Primary wing. Ms. Neeta, the C.I. for KG-Numeracy addressed the assembly by informing about the relevance of teachers [guru] where guru means techniques and methods of teaching by teacher. She also explained the importance of Teachers’ Day and its emphasis by Guru Sarvpillai, the man who was a great Guru and chose 5th September as Teachers’ Day. The assembly proceeded with a wonderful performance by children who danced on the song Happy Teachers’ Day la la la. Some of the children were dressed up as Guru Dronacharya, Mahatma Gandhi, Lord Krishna, the mentors and great teachers of their times. The children also role played as teachers of MRIS. The teachers were called on stage to receive their titles, sashes and a rose and were hugely applauded for their efforts by Principal Ma’am, Jyoti Ma’am and the children. The assembly concluded with Principal ma’am thanking the teachers for their contribution to the school and children for their participation in today’s assembly. Every teacher and child danced and echoed happy teachers’ day making this assembly beautiful and memorable.
