Team Shaw Mentor Spouses and Key Spouses, Please spread the word~ Just a friendly reminder, the next initial Key Spouse Training is being presented 6 November 2014 from 08:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at the Airman & Family Readiness Center in Building 1127. This class will provide newly appointed Key Spouses with a basic knowledge about resources and helping agencies on bases and in the local communities. Mandatory suicide prevention training will also be provided during training. Before registering for Key Spouse Initial Training please make sure you have met with your Commander and have a letter appointing the key spouse(s). *Additional mandatory training for Key Spouses include Heart Link (Heart Link is scheduled for 17 Nov 2014, 9 Feb 2015, 11 May 15, 10 Aug 15, 16 Nov 15 @ the Carolina Skies Club). INITIAL KEY SPOUSE TRAINING 6 November - Initial Key Spouse Training/Suicide Awareness/Resilience Training 8:30 - 11:30 4 December - Initial Key Spouse Training/Suicide Awareness/Resilience Training 1:00 - 4:30 6 December - Initial Key Spouse Training/Suicide Awareness/Resilience Training (Saturday) 8:30 - 11:30 Key Spouse training is held at the A&FRC. This class is intended for New Key Spouses and Spouses who would like to refresh their Key Spouse knowledge. Appointment letter from the Squadron Commander is required for entry into this class and can be sent over to A&FRC in advance. Key Spouse Meetings: This meeting is an informal gathering designed to facilitate conversation and connection between Key Spouse. Each meeting will have an educational topic to ensure all Key Spouses continue to receive the necessary tools they need to be successful.
