Tear This God-Damn Country Up! In a speech at Morgan State University that received little attention at the time, two days before the Ferguson Missouri Grand Jury decision, the fiery Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan called for violence if white police officer Darren Wilson was not indicted for the death of Michael Brown. Well tear this God-Damn country up! the black Muslim leader told the cheering students, continuing, We going to die anyway, Lets die for something. If the grand jury in Staten Island today refuses to indict white cop Daniel Pantaleo for the apparent chokehold death of Eric Garner, a black man being arrested for selling loose cigarettes, then the incitement from Farrakhan will be part of a rising that will disrupt the nations holiday season beginning with the tree-lighting tonight in Rockefeller Center. The fact black-on-black urban violence is a far more severe affliction than police violence will be irrelevant. Elements of the black community will be joined by largely white students and Occupy Wall Street-type agitators to wreak havoc. That this is happening in a nation led by a black man is the most bitter irony.
