Teardown!!! Final blows... 31st Street Frat House (really rental for young hip professionals who only rarely party too much) BITES THE DUST... Allen Carrier said that the noise was deafening, and that the Beach House on 31 shook so much, due to the sandy soil, that he thought the windows were going to crack out. He also shot one from the roof deck and from the alley, 31st Place. This house was sold recently for $1,700,000 and they tore it down. Just like the beach house, it is on a 30x70 lot. The location is prized because of the walk-only WALKSTREET in front...which provides safety and solitude within an urban setting. We dont know yet what they are planning to build. Maybe neighbors Anton Watts and Mardi know... Anyhow, we think it is suspicious that they did this demolition on a Friday, when city offices are closed in Hermosa Beach.
