**Tech Tip Tuesday** When installing jimmy proof locks, there is the option of using flat or angle strikes. Flat strikes can be used on a steel or wood door frames. These are attached to the face of the door frame and require little (if any) modification to the frame. Angle strikes can be used on a wood door frame or on a specially prepared steel frame. These strikes require a mortise on the inside of the frame or wood trim to allow it to properly align with the rim lock latch when the door is closed. With the multiple points of attachment, this type of strike generally provides more holding strength. #TechTipTuesday #ilco
