Tech question... Im originally always been a Modular guy so bear with me, this is my first Fox after having an 04 Cobra and 01 GT for years... 87 Notch, running a 351w punched out .30, Lunati cam (pretty big lift and duration). Car had original 4 cylinder brakes and they sucked obviously. I upgraded to 5.0 spindles, and the SSBC big brake kit, which is essentially the SVO or Lincoln brakes (73mm and matching master cylinder). Still running the original 4 banger power booster. Problem is, the brakes seem worse then the old 4 Cylinder setup! Dont even want to drive the car. Ive bleed the brakes numerous times, no sponginess so I know thats not the issue. Engine only makes 12-14Hg vacuum at idle, and someone I spoke to said that could be the issue. The pedal is pretty hard, and very little travel to it. The MC pushrod is adjusted correctly so I know thats not the issue either. Would upgrading to a 5.0 booster even be worth it? Out of everything I have read all upgrading the booster will do is make pedal effort a bit easier. I can bottom the pedal now and the car doesnt even come close to trying to lock the brakes up or stop somewhat decently. Any help advise would be much appreciated!! -Dan
