Techno buffalo.... If you want the legal battles between Apple and Samsung to continue, we have good news: Samsung’s team is asking for a retrial even before the current one is over. According to Bloomberg, Samsung’s legal council accused Apple’s head lawyer of making a “prejudiced remark” during the final arguments of the most recent trial. A jury is currently deliberating to decide how much Samsung exactly owes Apple, but their answer may not matter if Samsung has its way. Basically, the head Apple lawyer suggested that, once upon a time, American’s watched TVs that were built in the United States. Now, most TVs aren’t made in the U.S., and his comment “We all know what happened,” seemed to suggest prejudice in the case, since Apple’s lawyer had “no evidence” that South Korea-based companies forced U.S. TV makers to stop making televisions. Apple’s lawyer, Harold McElhinny, argued that he said nothing about race and never said the word “Asian,” which would have identified a race specifically. Obviously both teams are fed up with one another at this point and are clearly trying to find anything possible to leave the courtroom with a win. Judge Koh, who has been presiding over the case, didn’t seem swayed by Samsung’s race argument.
