Technology Tuesdays: Downed Cows webinar will be held on October 7, 2014 Penn State Extension Pocono District - Carbon, Monroe, Pike, & Wayne Counties According to the Pocono District of Penn State Extension, a “Technology Tuesdays: Downed Cows” free online workshop will be held on October 7, 8:30 -10:00 AM (EDT/EST). This is part of a series that includes presentations on dairy farm facilities design, dairy cattle behavior, nutrition, financing and labor. Animal welfare on the farm is a priority for all dairy producers. This webinar will look at issues such as handling downed cows, when and how to euthanize animals, and proper methods of handling the carcass.
