Tecomella undulata,locally known as rohida is a tree found in the thor desert of rajasthan which has great ecological importance. It holds the desert soil firmly, gives shelter to the birds and gives shadow to the animals in the desert. Also produces timber for domestic use. The bark obtained from the stem is used for the treatment of syphilis, gonorrhoea, enlarged spleen and urinary disorders. Its also the state tree and flower of rajasthan.
