Teddy Bear Hospital – Committee 2013-14 Would you like to be part of Teddy Bear Hospital 2013-14? We are looking for a brand new friendly, enthusiastic committee to make TBH bigger and better than all previous years. Along with our flagship event in February at Chelsea Westminster Hospital we organise a series of school events in which we aim to reduce the ‘white coat anxiety’ some children may experience when going to hospital or their doctors. Children are encouraged to bring along their teddies and through play we are able to get them more accustomed to a hospital environment and teach aspects of healthy eating and exercise too. If interested please consider the following roles; Secretary - Take the minutes, liaise with the community (schools and hospitals), keep us in check! 2x Publicity Officers - Ensuring we get as much publicity as possible throughout medical school to recruit volunteers and to the general public aiming to get more schools involved Sponsorship Officer - A new position this year, aiming to get sponsorship in any form be that in equipment or financial Webmaster - To continue the fantastic work of last year’s webmaster and keep the website, as well as other social media, up to date Creative Director - Keeping the ideas fresh and inventive to engage with the children and appeal to the community Equipment Officer - Ensuring all equipment is in good condition and makes it to and from venues for events TBH is expanding year on year and this year we would like your help to make it even more fabulous!
