Ted’s father, Alex, was a hard man to shop for. One day, - TopicsExpress

Ted’s father, Alex, was a hard man to shop for. One day, however, Ted found a list of book titles in his dad’s handwriting. Ted’s mother told him, “Those are some books your dad read years ago, and he’s been trying to locate them on the Internet.” Three weeks later, Alex was surprised—and delighted—when several of these books came wrapped as Christmas presents. He looked at Ted and joked, “You must have been spying on me!” “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you” (John 15:7). Our prayer lives will be transformed when we put aside our own list of desires and begin praying for God’s “prayer list” to be fulfilled. God’s desires are expressed throughout the Bible, including the things Jesus taught. When believers develop a close relationship with Jesus, allowing His words to sink into their hearts and “remain” in them, answered prayers are the result. In other words, God’s Word living in believers will help them pray prayers that God desires to answer. Have you allowed God’s prayer list to transform your heart?
