Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - What a piece of sh*t! Apart from the fact that the story (if thats what you can really call it) makes no sense and has too many plot holes, the film misses the mark completely in almost every possible way it can. I did smirk a couple of times due to Michelangelo, but apart from those times, the film gets its comedy so wrong! The action sequences are so badly filmed and so incredibly boring. Its bad in almost every aspect of its making. Some of the special effects are awful (yet they still manage to out-act Megan Fox) and Shredder and Splinter (and the Turtles to a lesser extent) are so badly designed and crafted, you wonder how anyone could ever have signed off on them. The only saving graces in the film are William Fichtner (who does what he can with the dreadful script) and Whoopi Goldberg (whom it is wonderful to see back on the big screen!) The film isnt a live action film, its closer to being an animated film with a couple live action backgrounds and occasional actor. At the end of the day no-one whos worked on this film has done it for the love or passion of TMNT, theyve done it for the pay cheque and if they say any different theyre either liars or idiots! If theres a worse film than this, this year, then cinema truly is in a dire state! There just arent enough words to describe the awfulness of this film, if your kids say they want to go and see this, tell them to stop being so stupid and just stick the original on!
