Temperatures are dropping today, as colder air with some snow - TopicsExpress

Temperatures are dropping today, as colder air with some snow moves in. This morning is mostly cloudy, with spotty rain showers. Temperatures are in low to upper 40s but will starting dropping by 8 a.m. Partly cloudy at times, with a 20% chance for snowfall. The snow showers are isolated, with a few flurries at times as well. Well be at or below freezing around Noon, then down to the upper 20s by 5 p.m. A Northerly wind makes it feel even colder. The wind will gust around 30 miles per hour in the Smokey Mountains. The Smokies could get up to 1 inch of snowfall out of some of the showers today. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a low of 13 degrees in the Valley, and single digits for the higher elevations. It will feel 10+ degrees colder, thanks to the Northerly wind. Have a great day! Meteorologist Heather Haley
