Tempest in a Boston Teacup On Sunday, March 16th, well travel back in time at First Unitarian, with a dramatic presentation written by Rev. Dr. Peter Hughes, a member of our congregation and noted Unitarian historian. The play is based upon the record of a meeting of Unitarian ministers in 1843. At this meeting, over tea, the fate of the radical clergyman Theodore Parker was decided. The result of that meeting ever afterward defined the way that Unitarians applied the principle of tolerance and dealt with dissent. We hope youll join us for this rare glimpse into Unitarian history, in which Parker bravely puts forward his understanding of religion, which differs from that of his colleagues. Dont miss this spirited performance! Blessings, Lynn Harrison Intern Minister
