Temptation (The victorious suffering of Trial and Tribulation) James 1:2-7 The victorious suffering of trial and tribulation is achieved by consistently practicing the following, by faith…. Repent of reacting carnally to suffering trial and tribulation: James 4:8-10 (8) Draw nigh to God (This is to by choice draw near to God through repentance towards God and faith in the LORD Jesus Christ.), and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands (Confess and forsake external sin done with the body.), ye sinners; and purify your hearts (Confess and forsake internal sin of the soul, the inner man.), ye double minded. (9) Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness (This is contriteness.). (10) Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up (This is commitment in dependence, by faith, upon the LORD.). Rejoice in the LORD Jesus Christ regardless of the situation or circumstance: James 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into (Note the text says into not out of.) divers temptations (This is various trials and tribulations. Man is born unto such, even as the sparks fly upward from a fire.); Realize God allows provoking situations and circumstances to occur with purpose: James 1:3 Knowing this (This is to know, understand, by faith, unto experience.), that the trying (testing and purifying) of your faith (Hebrews 11:1Now faith is the substance (spiritual, scriptural, and supernatural reality or certainty) of things hoped (spiritual, scriptural, and supernatural anticipated or confidence) for, the evidence (spiritual, scriptural, and supernatural proof or conviction) of things not seen (that which exist in the invisible eternal realm of God and, by faith, becomes an earthly reality or credence.) worketh patience (Patience is the ability to abide faithful in and through the LORD Jesus Christ, regardless of the situation or circumstance.). Remain patient in and through the LORD Jesus Christ when one is being tempted towards carnal reaction towards suffering trial and tribulation: James 1:4 But let patience have her perfect (complete, maturing) work, that ye may be perfect (spiritually and scripturally mature) and entire perfect (spiritually and scripturally whole), wanting nothing. Receive wisdom from above, by faith, asking for such and displaying such: James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom (Wisdom can be said to be applied knowledge of God’s word, will, and way.), let him ask (This seems to imply the idea of repeated and continuous asking.) of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him (God does not scold or belittle us for coming to Him, by faith, repeatedly and continuously asking for wisdom from above.). Regard true spiritual, scriptural, and supernatural faith: James 1:6-7 (6) But let him ask in faith (Such faith comes from praying-asking even for it: Luke 17:5; as well as, through pondering upon the Word of God (Romans 10:17) and the God of the Word, the LORD Jesus Christ (Hebrews 12:2-3), nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. (7) For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. (Faith is absolutely necessary to receive of the LORD as well as to please the LORD. Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him (Faith is spiritually and scripturally absolutely necessary to please God.): for he that cometh to God must believe that he is (Faith believes in God’s eternal existence.), and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Faith believes God rewards those who diligently seek Sovereign God: His will, way, worth, and works, through the Saviour LORD Jesus Christ, by walking after, in, and being filled with the Spirit, in accordance to absolute authority of the Scripture.). Review what wisdom is from above: James 3:13-18 (13) Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation (manner of life) his works with meekness (humbleness before God and man) of wisdom (Note the description of earthly, sensual, devilish wisdom and heavenly wisdom in the following verses…). (14) But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. (15) This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. (16) For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. (17) But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. (18) And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace. It is my prayer that the LORD Jesus Christ will be glorified in and through all who have received, read (meditated upon), responded too by faith, and may repost or use the above H.O.P.E.
