Ten Highlights from the Good Friday Service: 1. It was an atmosphere of worship . . . you had to have been there. And to see both young and elder worshiping and praising . . . bringing tears to the eye. 2. We had three that had never preached at FBC before - Minister Youlonda Mason, Pastor John Opsata and Pastor Gerry K. Hearn. 3. Pastor David Wallace took us into the throne room . . . he is truly a worshiper who knows how to magnify the worship experience. 4. I counted at least 20 different churches being represented in the congregation from all over. 5. The young sister from First Christian Church wiped the house out with an operatic The Old Rugged Cross - there were a lot of wet eyes in the house when she sang . . . my God! 6. We had a brother of another color preaching today for the first time, Dr. John Opsata was off the chain. He will be back! 7. It was great seeing Dr. and Sis. Robert A. Strode in the house!! 8. Received a lot of positive comments about how the building looks since the restoration of the sanctuary. 9. Everyone who sang - whether solo or group or congregational - just let the Lord use them. Lan Wilson took us in during the offering. And a dear sweet seasoned saint wiped us out on The Blood. 10. We didnt get out until 3 p.m. - But 95% of the congregation stayed throughout the service.
