Ten Things I like about my new job: 1.) I love the Fremont family. They are welcoming, affirming, and intentional. 2.) I love my immediate supervisors and bosses. They are put there above me by God and they have big servant hearts. They are actually the Senior Pastor, Associate Pastor, and Executive Minister. 3.) The staff I work with are supportive and friendly. I felt loved and welcomed since Day 1. I received wonderful Christmas gifts from them. 4.) I have my own office. Working as a staff RN for 20 years never afforded me my own office. Now as the Parish Nurse for Fremont, I have a decent space. I am thrilled about the idea of decorating it to showcase my personality. 5.) This is an exciting new field of nursing practice for me. One that has made me evolve beyond my comfort zone yet I can still employ my gifts and skills as a professional nurse. 6.) I definitely believe I found a niche for me in this faith community. I have the opportunity not only to serve and minister but build meaningful relationships. 7.) I love the concept of a Health Minister and being a part of a movement that integrate faith and wholistic health. 8.) I no longer work long hour shifts and my schedule is flexible. 9.) Above all, Im off weekends and all of the holidays. 10.) A job you can quit, a dream you can give up on, but a calling will chase you forever.
