Ten years ago today: Our contact from the adoption agency frantically tried to contact us- the baby came early. I mean EARLY. Megan was only 31 week. Paige arrived in this world weighing-in at a whopping 3 pounds 2 ounces. 31 days in the NICU. Terrible colic ruled our lives for far too many months with her being so tiny and slow to gain weight. Projectile vomiting was more typical than not. The apnea monitor to make sure she didnt forget to breathe was her tether for five months. Yet- these are just memories, now... Paige was born to Megan and Shawn. They entrusted Paige to us to parent and love. We have had such fun and she has made me mellow out and enjoy life so much. God bless my dear husband who continually reminded me in those rough months, early on, someday this little baby will sitting on the couch, watching Disney movies with us. He, of course, could see beyond the crazy and envision the bliss to come. Thank you to some key family and friends who helped in those early months to keep me sane & have helped Paige grown into the young lady who amazes us every, single day.
