Ten years ago today was one of the saddest days of my life. We lost my moms mom, my grandma Madge. If you knew her, you know she was sweet, warm, loving, never, ever met a stranger, loved my Grandpa with her whole heart (they were always like two smitten teenagers!), and was so very devoted to her role as a wife, mother and Grandma. She had a very silly, playful nature, was everyones favorite lady at Bank of America, a terrific party host, card player, dancer, and active member of her church and community. You could spot her beautiful, natural white hair a mile away, always smell the scent of her White Shoulders perfume on her neck in her tight hugs and in their home, and you know that she would be the best dressed lady at any function. She was beautiful inside and out, and Im so very proud and grateful that she was ours. I see bits and pieces of her in my sons, and know she laughs at our stories and antics. Today, I smile with tears in my eyes for all that she was and all that she gave. Until I see you again, Grandma.
