Tenders Ministry of Electric Power: Invitation for Expression of Interest (EOI) The Ministry of Electric Power has invited expression of interest (EOI) proposals from local and foreign companies to purchase natural gas to be used in natural gas-powered power distribution plants. Natural gas is to be imported from the Myanma Oil and Gas Enterprise’s gas pipeline and the payment will be delivery duty paid (DDP) to Yangon. The selected company is to import the gas as Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and transform it to natural gas by using Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU). The ministry intends to purchase 150-200 million cubic feet per day (mmcfd) before March 2014 and 500-600 mmcfd after 2014, for a period of 5 to 10 years. Expressions of interest including price proposals are to be submitted no later than 12:00 noon on 31 July 2013.
