Tennessees Legislature had just voted to delay the implementation - TopicsExpress

Tennessees Legislature had just voted to delay the implementation of the so-called, Common Core education curriculum a few days before this meeting was broadcast between Jeb Bush, Bill Haslam and Lamar Alexander, U.S. Senator for TN (who is currently up for re-election this year and is facing Republican opposition in the upcoming May Republican Primary). I am of the opinion that the control of our public schools curriculum should be determined in each state at the state level or remain at the local level where educators from the state will have a say and input in what is needed in that particular states own curriculum to prepare its young people for their future years in the work force. We should NOT abdicate all responsibility for our childrens education to a bunch of Liberal and Progressive politicians located within the Washington, D.C., beltway. As, Mike Pence, Governor of Indiana (which was one of the first states to originally adopt this national education curriculum back in 2010) stated when he decided for Indiana to dump the Common Core in his state and take the education decision-making process back to the state level within Indiana because he thought the people of Indiana were better prepared to make the educational decisions that needed to be made for Indianas own students than to delegate that total decision making power to The National School Board in Washington, D.C., which would be totally-out-of-touch with the real needs of Indianas students. I wish our Governor, Bill Haslam, of Tennessee would follow Mike Pences lead instead of insisting upon the soon implementation of the Common Core throughout all of Tennessees Public schools. I guess the alluring carrot being held out to all of the states governors of federal education grants to each state that implements this curriculum all across its public school systems is just way too much enticement for Governor Haslam to let slip through his finger-tips. However, this curriculum has textbooks that have been totally written from the Progressive and Liberal Viewpoints which include what has already been proven to be outright lies about the origins of our nation and about a certain false requirement being associated with our Second Amendment Right under our U.S. Constitution--which falsely states that people are ONLY allowed to keep and bare arms within our nation after they agreed to have them registered with the government--which is what Obama has been pushing for but it is NOT required by our United States Constitution; therefore, this is an outright lie that has been published as supposedly being a matter-of-fact! I have also read several well-written articles written by extremely knowledgeable people who are quite familiar with the Common Core curriculum overall and they have all concurred that this educational program will be used to conform the thoughts and ideas of our future generations to being in absolute obedience to the ideas and control of our centralized Federal Government without leaving them any room to question what they are being taught or what they are or might be ordered to do in the future by said government. The words most often used to describe this curriculum is a governmental form of Brainwashing and The Dumbing Down Of Our Future American Citizens! Tennessee we do NOT want or need the federal government ruling over our public schools from Washington, D.C. Our own TN state educators should be consulted and be encouraged to give their own knowledgeable input as to the composition of any curriculum to be used in Tennessees public schools and our local school boards should retain their veto authority over any curriculums textbooks that will be used at the local public schools.
