Tennis Question: Lets assume that a club had a standard hourly rate for private lessons capped at 90 per hour. The new pro who was hired into the position stated to HR that he/she could increase the cap to 120 per hour and that the club was short changing itself. Thus, the pro was able to build their book of business, private lesson wise, and had clientele willing to pay a higher service fee. In this case scenario, should the club do the following? 1. Allow the new pro to push the envelope and keep the culture of the club in the perspective of entrepreneurship? 2. Keep the standard fee in place and state to the new pro this is what weve always done? 3. Conduct a survey in the beginning a new session and receive feedback from its membership and base their course of direction on the results received? Thoughts? -Jason Lampione
