Tens of thousands of Muslims have gathered outside Lakemba Mosque in Sydneys south-west to celebrate the festival of Eid al Adha. An estimated crowd of about 20,000 people lined the streets outside the mosque for prayers and speeches to mark the festival of sacrifice, which also celebrates the end of the annual pilgrimage, or hajj, to Mecca.
