Tension is mounting amongst Taxi operators in Mbarara following the award of the taxi park tender to Mbarara Taxi Drivers and Owners Association- MUTODA. It comes a few weeks after Mbarara municipality awarded MUTODA the tender to manage the taxi park. The decision angered operators allied to Mbarara United Taxi Drivers, Conductors and Owners cooperative society limited- MTOCDA, which has been managing the park till December 6th 2014 when its contract expired.
