Tepkini Ver The state repression on peaceful protestors has taken a very scary turn. Please watch this video, scroll to 4:40 and watch for a minute or so. This is Kadikoy, Istanbul tonight. Whereas it was already clear that the police was no longer there to protect all Turkish citizens but has turned into an AKP-militia, they now increasingly rely on ordinary citizens to crack down on the protests. AKP supporters are joining the police in a witch hunt against the protestors. On the one hand are peaceful protestors who oppose the government met with extreme violence, and on the other are AKP loyalists encouraged to commit crimes and attack people. This policy by the AKP is creating a dangerous rift in society.
