Terry to appeal life ban Suspended Football Kenya Federation (FKF) National Executive Member Hussein Terry has disclosed that he will make an official appeal to the World Governing soccer body (Fifa) following the latest decision taken to slap him with a life ban. “I’m very disappointed by the action they have taken and I’m going to present the matter to Fifa. That was malice and some of those allegations are not true. They are fabricated and some of the members were compromised. Not all of them endorsed the decision,” noted Terry. The former NEC representative was suspended on allegations of maligning the federation and misappropriating funds, among other reasons. The decision was taken at the FKF Annual General Meeting at Kabarak University Guest House, Nakuru County, on Saturday. Terry, was also found guilty of selling fake uniforms to FKF, which landed the national federation in trouble with the African Football Confederation (Caf). Terry was initially suspended indefinitely by FKF for the above-mentioned reasons and taking FKF matters to the Anti-Corruption Commission. He also refused to table documents before the FKF NEC and on three occasions declined to appear before the committee to substantiate or prove his claims. Presenting his report, FKF Disciplinary Committee chairman, Prof Moni Wekesa said Terry breached FKF and Fifa rules and regulations and recommended a life ban which was endorsed by the AGM. Prof Wekesa said by paying himself players allowances when he was a Harambee Stars official was a clear breach of FIFA ethics rules and warranted a life ban. Prior to his indefinite ban and later Saturdays life ban, Terry was the head of the FKF Youth Committee.
