Texans, YOUR ELECTRIC GRID IS UNDER ATTACK! This is an urgent notice to let you know that the Power Companies in Texas, actually, the companies are known as Transmission and Distribution Utility Companies, have each filed their compliance tariffs relating to the new rule established by the Public Utility Commission of Texas. This new rule is for what is loosely called an Opt-Out. The fees for an average Texan to choose an analog meter, range from $135.00 to over $400.00 just to KEEP your analog meter. In addition, you get to pay on average somewhere between $35.00 to $45.00 MONTHLY! If you have a smart meter but want it removed the fees are even higher! The Association will be filing as an Intervenor. This is a legal term meaning that as an intervenor we will have to file motions to intervene on behalf of our members. Once approved as intervenors, the Association will have access to discovery, call witnesses, cross examine witnesses and more. This is an actual legal filing. In order to have more clout, we need numbers, so we are asking everyone to become a paid member of the 9-12 Association...the fee is $25.00 per year. (see below) Once you become a paid member (or if you already are) the Association will be speaking on your behalf against these tariffs, but you must be a paid member for us to do so. We have an attorney who will be filing the motions...but we need YOU to join us! What these companies are doing to Texans is the same as what Obama has done with Obamacare.
