Texarkana Arkansas Police Department Warrant Amnesty! The Texarkana Arkansas District Court and the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department will conduct an amnesty period beginning January 21, 2013 through March 31, 2014 for people who have warrants for failure to appear or contempt of court for not paying fines. During this time, the Arkansas District court will waive the warrant fee and jail time if full payment is received for delinquent citations. Texarkana Arkansas Police Officers will not arrest anyone who appears at the Bi-State to pay these fines. The upcoming amnesty period was announced today by District Court Judge Wren Autrey. Debbie Nolte, Chief Probation Officer, said the amnesty program would enable those being sought on warrants to avoid being arrested, avoid being assessed additional court costs and resolve their case entirely. Judge Wren Autrey said, “These individuals have had their driving privilege suspended and clearing these fines will also enable them to regain a valid driver’s license”. Judge Wren Autrey will waive the $350.00 warrant fee and release you driver’s license for reinstatement. Chief Probation Officer, Debbie Nolte, said, With income tax returns coming in this is a great opportunity to stop looking over your shoulder and take care of these warrants and to have your driving privileges reinstated.
