Texarkana USA, Saturday, May 10, 8:51 PM I would like to share once again some anecdote that would humor you or encourage your faith but for the moment it just doesnt seem to come. You see at midnight tonight, it will have been exactly one month since our beloved Paula went home to heaven. Tomorrow being Mothers Day, the first we will observe without her, we are made to know...again...that our lives have changed forever. But there is no discouragement, for what has been brought home to us through the late difficulty of Paulas sickness and death is that we must never take a loved one for granted and we must always show our affections while there is time. Our family gathered here today to sort through Paulas personal things, each taking what is precious and memorable and those things also that have a practical use. But these are just...things. It was the one who made those things special to us that gives value to them. A life lived well, that touches others with love, acceptance, gentleness and compassion is a life that by far outweighs tangible remains. So tomorrow we honor our Paula by honoring ourselves as a family having been blessed with her love, her laughter, her labors and her light that always helped us find our ways in life and to Christ, day after day after day.
