Texas Keeps Looking Better & Better . . . " For the first nine months of 2013, home foreclosure filings in Dallas, Tarrant, Collin and Denton counties are down about 40 percent from a year earlier, according to Foreclosure Listing Service’s reports. A recent report by CoreLogic Inc. found that the stock of previously foreclosed houses on the market in the Dallas-area is down more than 30 percent from the worst of the market during the recession. Distressed sales now account for only about 18 percent of local home purchases, compared with more than 40 percent during the housing sector bust, CoreLogic reports.
