Texas residents Lisa and Bob Parr recently won a nearly $3 million jury verdict in a case against oil and gas company, Aruba Petroleum, potentially opening the door for similar cases linking health risks and regulatory failures to fracking. The Parrs filed 13 complains against Aruba after they began experiencing troubled breathing, nausea, nosebleeds, ringing ears and rashes. When Lisas health began to worsen, doctors matched chemicals in her blood matches air samples from around their home in Wise County, providing key evidence in last months ruling.
