Texas values: the textbooks should follow the TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) standard passed in 2009 - that call for "examining all sides" of all scientific subjects and theories, including evolution, and that importantly allow for "critical thinking" for our students. Critical thinking is so important to us honest educators, as our number 1 task is to teach students to seek the truth, even if the "truth" may not be readily verified by experiments. With a critical mind, a student would at least be challenged to think that there "might be a God" in the world as a honest critic..... Without that critical thinking skills and "examining all sides" mentality, an impressionable student may be subjected to political and religious indoctrination......
