Th Number 1 Private University in Ghana,,,,,,,,,,, As of now, there are more than 100 Private Universities in Ghana, according to the National Accreditation Board,,,,, the sudden rise in numbers from the last 10yrs is attributed to successive Governments failure to expand facilities in the existing Public Universities, so to ease the perennial Admission Gridlock,,,,,, Traditionally, Ghanaians are known to prefer,,,,,, Primary Education --- Private Secondary Education --- Public Tertiary Education --- Public(Legon, KNUST, UCC, UDS, IPS, GIMPA, Winneba) But, now, the Status quo seems to be changing partly due to,,,, ** Persistent Admission corruption/favoritism,,, ** Quality Tuition offered by some Private Universities,,, ** Semester Calendar uncertainties(Public Uni.) due to Lecturers strike,,, ** Invasion of our Campuses by Foreign Students(Nigerians/Liberians),,,,, Just as in Accra, Central University is considered to be the Best, so is in Kumasi, Christian Service University College is the number One,,,,,! Some say they charge exorbitant Tuition Fess and also offers Less Costly Courses like, Business Admin, Accounting, Theology,,etc But, i believe they deserve massive commendation for providing Alternatives/Options to desperate Prospective Graduates,,,,,,,, its my wish that some day, they will venture into the Medicine, Pharmacology, Engineering etc Courses as well,,,,, I guess the biggest Challenge is in making sure that Corporate Bodies and the Civil Service give same Validation to Certificates from these Private Universities,,,,,,,, just like they do so to the so called Public Universities ! ***kwabena nsafoa**
