The duo discussed ways to bolster cooperation and military relations between the two countries. They also discussed recent developments on the Arab and regional arena and their repercussions on the security and stability of the region. Darroch expressed his condolences to Sisi for victims of the attacks witnessed in Sinai. The British diplomat emphasized his country’s confidence in Egypt’s ability to confront terrorism, and to push forward the democratic process according to the roadmap drafted by the military and a number of political parties. The meeting was attended by Military Chief of Staff Sedky Sobhy and number of senior leaders of the army in addition to the British ambassador to Egypt. Originally published in Youm7.
