Thane: Clash Over Ganesha Idol Immersion Injures Two. One person was injured in a clash between two groups following a dispute during a Ganesha idol immersion procession at a village here, police said today. Two persons have been arrested in this connection. During the procession on September 8, there was dispute between two groups of villagers at Kasara in Sahapur taluka over certain songs being played on the occasion, Kasara police SHO Namdeo D Rathod said. While one group wanted a certain song to be played, the other group was against it and demanded some other song. The people settled the matter then and completed the idol immersion rituals, he said.
