Thank God we have Supreme Court of India. The Apex court today said "Aadhar cards not compulsory, don’t give them to illegal immigrants" Few things about Aadhar Card which is mentioned on UIDAI website and Aadhar Card 1. It is a voluntary service. 2. Aadhar is a proof of identity and not citizenship Even after that, Central and many state governments making it compulsory to have Aadhar Card and are making it mandatory document for various services like Ration Card, Passport, LPG connection, LPG subsidy. Now if it is not proof of citizenship how can you issue Passport, ration card or allow anyone to open bank account on the basis of this? As we all know, we can use Bank Passbook for address proof. Why someone who is not citizen of the country get subsidy benefit? Imagine 50000Cr Rupees is spend till date to issue Aadhar which is Niradhar. As Rahul Gandhi keeps saying that He gave us Rights.
