Just as parents wanting to bring out the best in their children by correcting their behavior in love, so God disciplines us. Why? - For profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness (Hebrews 12:10). However, we must discern between Gods discipline, ad the reaping of bad seeds we have sown. When we sow seeds against the will of God, we will reap His judgment as of a result of our own actions. We must also discern between Gods discipline and attacks from the enemy. So often we blame God for so many mishap, instead of attacking the culprit responsible, namely Satan. At times, our own flesh allows us to stumble, and that too, cannot be blamed on God! Because God loves you, He will always correct you when you are heading the wrong track. He tests your faith in Him and His Word. He also tests your love for Him and your level of spiritual maturity. Brothers and Sisters, Gods discipline is never pleasant, but if He deems it necessary, you will certainly benefit from His correction! He knows exactly how big your hiding must be, and will cease immediately when His objective has been reached. God desires only to build your character, and will never allow His discipline to be detrimental to you!
